In the Kimberley, the one thing you can be assured of growing in the hot climate is the humble Vinca. One day, inspired to paint a still life - I went out into my front garden and picked what I had on hand, put it in a handmade clay vase that I made in an art class at the Derby TAFE & set it on top of a lace doily that belonged to my mother.
