I have lived in Derby, West Kimberley since 2011 and have been down to the Derby Wharf area more times than I can count. It is a place of rest and reflection for many who live in this very remote part of Australia. Listening to the water and catching the breeze in a very hot climate is a welcome mind break. If you look at the rocks on the shoreline closely you will see they have many subtle colours which I have tried to capture in this artwork.
