Winner of the Painting Category at the Shinju Matsuri Art Awards 2026
I was walking down at the Derby jetty one day when some boys called out "Hey Miss, do you want to see the crabs we caught?” So I took a photo and painted this oil painting from the cropped image.
I love it when kids are self motivated to go fishing and get so excited when they catch something. Analog activity is still alive & well in Derby, Western Australia.
Original oil painting - 60cm x 60cm
