The boab trees, iconic symbols of the Kimberley region in northern Western Australia, are cherished by many. In this painting, I sought to capture the sense of tranquility I experience while walking the sandy backtracks near Derby at sunset. If you look closely, you’ll notice a few black cockatoos in the background.
